Curious about your responsibilities? You will be:
- Collaborating with product and engineering teams on the development and implementation of new systems and key features.
- Architecting, building, and maintaining highly scalable and resilient microservices, primarily using Java and Kotlin, on public cloud infrastructure (AWS), to support business growth.
- Writing clean, efficient, and production-ready Java and Kotlin code for backend systems, ensuring it is thoroughly tested, maintainable, and adheres to established coding standards.
- Taking full ownership of the development lifecycle for key platform components – from detailed design and cloud deployment (AWS) through to performance monitoring and operational support.
- Actively participating in agile software development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, contributing to team delivery and continuous improvement.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams, such as QA, DevOps, and Product Management, to ensure the successful delivery and evolution of robust fraud prevention solutions.
- Proactively identifying technical challenges, actively contributing to architectural discussions and decisions, and fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and technical excellence within the team.

- Advanced Java and Kotlin programming skills and software engineering practices.
- Practical experience in deploying code in modern environments using Docker.
- Experience with public cloud technologies (familiarity with AWS preferred).
- Practical knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
- In-depth, practical understanding of high-performance distributed systems.
- Practical knowledge of event-driven systems and data pipelines (e.g., using Kafka).
- Familiarity with Java Spring framework.
- Experience with caching technologies like Redis.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Fluent English and intermediate Polish in speaking and writing.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of container orchestration tools, particularly Nomad.
- Excellent communication skills and team spirit.
- Ability to plan and execute your work, despite of whether you are working on your own or as a part of the team.
- Ability to think one step ahead, quickly find solutions, and identify risks or problems.
- Eagerness to learn new tools, frameworks, and follow development trends, and techniques.
- Can-do attitude and good sense of humor.
