We’re The Widlarz Group, a software house specializing in React Native, actively contributing to the Open Source community. You might already know our work - we’re the team behind popular Open Source libraries like react-native-video.

Our teams - especially the Special Task Force - specialize in performance audits, technical debt assessments, recovery plans, and R&D in the area of native libraries.

For this role, we’re supporting one of our long-term clients in finding an experienced Senior Ruby on Rails Developer to join their tech team.

You’ll be hired directly by our client, but we’ll guide you through the recruitment process and help you get up to speed.

✅ What do we expect from you?

• You have experience working with various backend technologies - one of our projects uses Ruby on Rails, MongoDB, and Docker.

• You have hands-on experience developing applications with large user bases (10-100 million records).

• You are a T-shaped developer with broad knowledge and skills across the software development stack - from databases to the frontend layer.

• You know how to build scalable applications - today we test solutions with 1k-10k users, and a few weeks later the same app might serve millions.

• You know how to quickly prototype, make sensible technical debt trade-offs, and you value clean, readable code, best practices, and testing.

• You can optimize and maintain mature codebases, ensuring close to 100% SLA for the solutions you develop.

• You enjoy pair programming with other developers and working in modern tools - we use Cursor as our main coding environment.

• You’re open to integrating AI tools in your daily work - from designing features to writing code and analyzing data.

• You enjoy pair programming with other developers.

• You collaborate closely with other project stakeholders - including UI designers, product owners, and fellow developers.

• You understand the challenges of designing robust application architecture and you actively take the initiative to shape it in new solutions and improve it in existing products.

• You care about understanding the product you’re building - not just the code.

• You’re open to giving and receiving constructive feedback.

• You’re familiar with logging, error tracking, and deployment systems, and you use them in your daily work.

• You’re open to working in a distributed, international team.

• You have experience working with clients in the US or others across significantly different time zones.

• You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.

You’ll join our client’s team under a B2B contract with a competitive rate in the range of 20,000–30,000 PLN net/month, depending on your experience and skills.

• Short introductory video call (30 min) - to get to know each other and answer your initial questions.

• Technical interview with the team (1h 30min) - a deep dive into your experience, skills, and approach to solving problems.

• Optional meeting with the client’s representative (20 min) - if relevant for the project.

• Reference check - we may ask you to provide contact details to verify your experience and fit.
