We are currently looking for:

Senior PHP Developer

💡Project Description:

As a PHP Developer in this project, you’ll work on upgrading and extending an e-commerce marketplace for a German tech company. You’ll participate in developing new features in Symfony, modernizing legacy systems, and integrating services that enhance product search, payments, and seller tools.

📈 Your Responsibilities:

• Writing clean, maintainable code supported by unit and integration tests, while participating in code reviews.

• Configuring and using Docker environments, while maintaining CI/CD pipelines and overseeing release management processes.

• Contributing to architectural design discussions and proposing refactoring strategies or solutions to reduce technical debt.

• Taking ownership of complex production issues by troubleshooting and diagnosing problems independently.Working across both legacy systems and new APIs/services, modernizing logic and extracting functionality from older codebases.

• Implementing new features within the existing ecosystem, leveraging available libraries and solutions rather than reinventing from scratch.

🔑 Key Requirements:

• Advanced English in speaking and writing.

• Senior-level experience in PHP, with hands-on practice across different PHP versions (ability to work with very old legacy code as well as newer versions).

• Deep knowledge of Symfony (DI, error handling, ecosystem, framework extension).

• Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).

• Strong grasp of best practices: Clean Code, design patterns, DDD (awareness of domain models), writing unit and integration tests.

• Proficiency with Git and GitHub Flow (branching, pull requests, code reviews). Experience with CI tools (e.g., GitHub Actions).

• Skilled in working with APIs and service/API-oriented architectures.

• Self-sufficiency and readiness to work in an environment that requires fast onboarding into complex codebases.

➕ Nice to have: 

• Experience with decoupling/modernizing legacy systems (using the strangler pattern, extracting services).

• Practical knowledge of Docker.

• Basic DevOps/AWS skills will be considered a plus.

• Communicative German — an advantage, but not a requirement.
