This is a remote role as long as you reside in Poland.

The opportunity

At Teamwork.com, we’re on a mission to become the leader in AI for client-service organisations, seamlessly integrating artificial intelligence into our platform to amplify efficiency, insight, and profitability for teams delivering client work. We’re hiring a Principal AI Engineer to help us build the next generation of agentic AI-powered features - where intelligent workflows, proactive agents, and seamless automation help our customers move faster, work smarter, and deliver better outcomes.

• You’ll play a central role in shaping and delivering AI-powered product experiences - from idea to deployment. This is a hands-on, engineering-first role with a strong focus on agentic workflows, automation, and AI enhanced feature development.

• Architect and implement agentic systems that can reason, act, and adapt across dynamic workflows

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering leads to build customer-facing AI features

• Build modular, composable components for AI workflow orchestration — powering both out-of-the-box and self-authored automations

• Work across our stack, contributing to AI integration points in JavaScript, Node.js, and Python

• Build scalable APIs and data pipelines to support prompt engineering, agent memory, vector search, and long-running tasks

• Champion pragmatic, customer-centric engineering — prioritizing reliability, clarity, and ease of use

• Mentor fellow engineers and act as a strategic technical partner for AI adoption across the company

What good looks like

You're a senior engineer with a track record of delivering real AI-powered features, not just proofs of concept. You thrive on creating tools and systems that make complex things simple - especially when it comes to AI and automation.

You should have:

• Proven experience building production grade agentic systems or complex AI workflows, ideally using modern LLMs

• Solid experience in JavaScript / Node.js and Python

• Strong knowledge of data storage technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, Redis, vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate)

• Familiarity with workflow and automation platforms such as n8n, Appmixer, Make.com, or similar

• Comfort designing and integrating with complex APIs and third-party services

• A product mindset - balancing trade-offs, understanding customer needs, and building for value

• Experience mentoring engineers and driving technical direction in a fast-paced, product-led team

Bonus if you have:

• Experience with prompt engineering, embeddings, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)

• Knowledge of agent frameworks like LangChain, LangGraph, or custom-built equivalents

• Exposure to SaaS project management, PSA tools, or client service platforms
