Are you experienced with MySQL and ready to work on systems that directly impact millions of sports fans worldwide? 🚀 We’re looking for a MySQL Database Engineer to join our client’s high-performing Data Engineering team and help build and maintain critical database infrastructure – across both cloud and on-premise environments.

🧠 What you’ll do:

• Design, configure, and manage MySQL databases (cloud + on-prem)
• Optimize performance and ensure reliability, scalability, and data integrity
• Collaborate with infrastructure and development teams to deliver stable, high-performing systems
• Automate recurring tasks and processes using scripting tools (Python, Shell)
• Implement and promote best practices in database management and security
• Stay current with developments in open-source and cloud-based database technologies

🧰 What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience with MySQL database administration and performance tuning
• Additional experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, or Redshift is a strong plus
• Confident working in Linux environments and writing automation scripts
• Familiarity with AWS and modern infrastructure tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Jenkins
• Strong problem-solving mindset and willingness to grow and learn new technologies
