    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    This is a critical role within the Online Operations team and has the exciting opportunity to build a best-in-class service to our customers through our stock management, merchandising and online allocation.


    The Merchandising function is responsible for operational product management on all websites in terms of pricing and available features. This role is highly technical as related with system setup for ecommerce stores.


    It contains responsibilities around the optimization of the way that products are merchandised on page (categorization, filters, sorting rules, internal search, recommendations, etc.) to leverage the user experience and clear KPIs, such as Bounce Rate, Cart Creation Rate, Conversion Rate.


    In this role, the owner must build strong relationships, standard procedures, service levels and routines especially around the (seasonal and regular) update of the e-commerce catalogue, but also within the merchandising area to secure appropriate exposure of products in different categories to support sales.


    This team will need to work very closely with the commercial team, from whom they will take their priorities. This will involve non-stop conversations about trading priorities, product launches and promotional campaigns. Constantly thinking about how we can best position our products to increase conversion rate, average order value and sales.


    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    Operational:

    • Product registration and maintaining in Hybris
    • Price Updates
    • Promotions set-up, including vouchers
    • Product catalogue maintaining
    • Pre-order process set-up
    • Selected frontend content management - upselling
    • Implementing and maintaining new e-commerce features: Trade-In, SC+, etc.
    • Managing Enhanced Partner Programme stores
    • Requests documentation in Jira


    Strategic:

    • Maximise, deliver, and optimise through effective merchandising, and tactical product management to increase conversion and sales.
    • Daily curation and maintenance of all the sites to ensure correct listing of products, offers and content to help customers find products/promos.
    • Liaise and work closely with key stakeholders to develop and test effective merchandising and tactical messaging that works together with UX and the overall customer journey.
    • Generate and share ideas to optimise merchandising and conversion performance across the sites using a data driven approach to support the activity.
    • Ensure all merchandising activity is correctly tagged in order to be able to report back effectively on the campaign and offer activity related to traffic, trends, CVR and sales.
    • When required, assist with optimisation and personalisation activity with the wider .COM team.


    SKILLS NEEDED

    The criticality of this role is such that significant experience/evidence of being a change agent in the online merchandising operations space is fundamental. They will need to quickly deliver tactical change and in parallel build the strategic roadmap.


    1. eCommerce Merchandiser:
    • two/ four years of merchandising experience
    • two/ four year of ecommerce experience
    • SAP Hybris experience
    • Significant experience in identifying/delivering results and optimisation in a merchandising operations team.
    • Strong technical and excel skills.
    • Strong people and project management. Planning, risk, and mitigation assessment is paramount.
    • Methodical with high attention to detail/processes and routines.
    • Ability to thrive and deliver in a challenging and exciting environment.
    • Ability to support junior merchandiser with tasks execution
