Responsibilities

• Work as a backend developer on the Tango Video team.
• Design and develop high load backend microservices.
• Maintain existing codebase.
• Optimize code to achieve better performance.
• Work closely with frontend developers, DevOps engineers, and other team members to ensure seamless integration of frontend and backend services and to address production issues.

Requirements

• Writing code in a clean and maintainable manner
• Solid experience with Java 8
• Experience with MySQL, Kafka, Redis
• Understand microservice architecture patterns
• Hands on experience working with Kubernetes
• Good at Spring framework
• Experience with: REST, protobuf
• Hands-on experience with SQL and schema design
• Basic hands on experience with CI/CD (Gitlab CI)
• Cover code by tests (mockito, wiremock, testcontainers)
• Excellent problem finding and solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Work in Agile team
• Intermediate+ English.

Will be considered a plus

• Experience with video streaming technologies such as HLS, DASH, RTP, WebRTC
• Experience in integrating AI models and processing pipelines into backend systems
• Enthusiasm for Rust development.
