WHAT TASKS AWAIT YOU?

As a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) in the Cloud Onboarding team, you will play a critical role in enabling the successful onboarding of applications to our Kubernetes-based cloud platform. You will work closely with application teams, platform engineers, and DevOps stakeholders to ensure a smooth, secure, and scalable integration of legacy and next-generation TelCo workloads into a modern, cloud-native environment.

What You’ll Do

Application Onboarding & Integration

• Contribute in the technical onboarding of TelCo and OSS applications onto Kubernetes-based platforms.

• Analyze application requirements and assist teams in containerizing and adapting workloads for cloud-native deployment.

• Develop onboarding templates and automation scripts (Helm charts, Kubernetes Operators, YAML manifests) to standardize deployments.

• Collaborate with application owners to refactor or re-platform legacy components as needed for compatibility.

Reliability & Automation

• Ensure highly available and reliable application deployments using Kubernetes-native features such as probes, autoscaling, and affinity rules.

• Create, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and security for hosted workloads.

• Create CI/CD pipelines tailored to application onboarding and lifecycle management.

• Automate integration and validation tests to verify application performance and stability in Kubernetes environments.

• Apply Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools like Terraform and Ansible to provision and configure environments.

Incident Management

• Actively participate in incident resolution during the onboarding phase and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues promptly.

• Drive improvements through lessons learned and incorporate preventive design approaches to enhance the onboarding process.

• Ensure security compliance by integrating security tools and performing risk assessments.

WHAT SKILLS WILL BE APPRECIATED?

Must-Have Skills

• Experience onboarding complex applications into Kubernetes environments.

• Solid Linux system administration and containerization knowledge.

• Strong grasp of Kubernetes concepts and best practices (deployments, services, ingress, volumes, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with GitOps tools and CI/CD workflows.

• Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Ansible).

• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).

• Understanding of basic networking (DNS, IP routing, Load Balancers).

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Background in TelCo OSS/BSS systems and network orchestration.

• Exposure to OpenStack or other private cloud technologies.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code and templating (Terraform, Helm).

• Understanding of cloud-native security and compliance practices.

• Prior experience with onboarding frameworks and E2E system integration.
