We are currently seeking a talented Security Generalist to join our team and contribute to our mission of maintaining robust security standards.
As a Security Generalist at T-Mobile, you will play a key role in ensuring that our security processes and systems are thoroughly documented and that our technical teams are well-informed about security requirements. You will work closely with various technical teams to help them understand and implement security best practices, ensuring compliance with our security policies.
What tasks await you?
- Design, implement, and manage security controls and processes to protect our systems and data.
- Collaborate with IT, cloud and development teams to integrate security best practices into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Lead the process of documenting information about our systems and services, ensuring that all security-related aspects are accurately captured and maintained.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Build awareness of security requirements among our technical teams, providing guidance and training to ensure they understand and adhere to best practices.
- Assist technical teams in implementing security requirements and maintaining documentation related to these requirements, ensuring ongoing compliance and security integrity.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and technology solutions.
What skills will be appreciated?
- Knowledge of Security: A broad understanding of technical security concepts, including network security, application security, and data protection.
- Documentation Skills: Strong skills in creating and managing comprehensive documentation, with a keen attention to detail.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Proficiency in English at B2/C1 level
- Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing security issues.
- Team Player: Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams, fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment.
Nice to have:
- Certifications: Any relevant security certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
- Experience: Previous experience in a similar role within the telecommunications or IT industry.
- Technical Skills: Familiarity with security frameworks and standards, as well as experience with security tools and technologies.
