Test Automation Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and implement detailed test cases focused on regression testing, including API testing and edge-case scenarios.
• Continuously evaluate and identify areas for improvement in regression testing practices.
• Integrate and maintain automated regression testing within the CI/CD pipeline, including the implementation of monitoring tools such as Grafana.
• Set up and manage test environments to align with development requirements, ensuring optimal conditions for accurate testing.
• Accurately document and monitor defects using a test management system, ensuring timely resolution.
• Perform test executions aimed at ensuring hardware and software releases meet defined quality metrics and deadlines.
• Contribute to both high-level and low-level design of test pipelines.
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance team, Product Management, DevOps, and Customer Support to share vital information and ideas crucial for the product’s success.

Qualifications:

• At least 5 years of experience in testing automation, with a strong focus on regression testing.
• Proficient in Java, Selenium, Cucumber, and Playwright, with a strong adherence to Clean Code principles.
• Working knowledge of version control systems, preferably Bitbucket.
• Experience in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins integrations and automated regression testing.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle and associated best practices.
• Extensive knowledge of testing methodologies and tools, with a creative and independent approach to enhancing automation.
• Experience with Test Case Management Tools such as qTest.
• In-depth knowledge and experience in testing REST services.
• Fluency in English is required, as the role involves regular communication with English-speaking stakeholders.
• Ability to understand the application’s business domain and work creatively within that context.
• A proactive mindset, with the ability to propose and implement improvement areas effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in the banking sector is a plus.
