Architect (Telco / BSS)

For our Client we are looking for Architect (ASAP)

• 100% remote work
• Open to candidates from across Europe
• English only – no German required

As a Solution Architect, you’ll play a key role in designing and validating end-to-end BSS architectures that meet business needs while aligning with long-term enterprise architecture principles. You’ll collaborate closely with domain architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to ensure consistency, integrity, and strategic alignment of the technology landscape.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze, define, and document technical BSS architecture for B2B end-to-end processes, ensuring alignment with business requirements and strategic architecture goals.
• Review and validate solution designs within architectural governance to ensure conceptual integrity across platforms.
• Evaluate architectural violations and technical debt, drive resolution plans, and support decision-making processes.
• Co-create and enhance integrated data models across the technology stack in close cooperation with domain architects.

Must have:

• Proven hands-on experience as a Solution or Tribe Architect with a focus on end-to-end architecture across applications, particularly in application, data, and business layers.
• 5+ years of experience in the telecom industry, with deep knowledge of BSS domains such as CRM, Product Catalogue, and Order Management.
• Strong familiarity with defining and applying architectural principles in real-world implementations.
• Up-to-date knowledge of telecom architecture best practices and solution patterns.
• Solid understanding of industry standards like TM Forum frameworks and Open APIs.
• Experience in guiding and aligning technical decisions among stakeholders including vendors, domain architects, and business leaders.
• Skilled in conducting architectural assessments and preparing materials for architecture boards.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

• Strong background in B2B telecom architecture and its specific IT complexities.
• Familiarity with microservices, cloud-native architectures, and SaaS platforms.
• Experience using enterprise architecture tools, preferably Sparx EA.
• Comfortable working in Agile environments and within multicultural, distributed teams.
