About the Role
We are looking for a Quantitative Developer to work at the intersection of finance and software engineering. You’ll partner directly with stakeholders — including quantitative analysts and business teams — to solve complex business problems and build robust data-driven solutions.
This is a high-impact role for someone with a strong background in finance and exposure to Python development who thrives in dynamic environments and is eager to contribute to both analysis and engineering efforts.
About You
Domain Expertise:
Experience in a finance-oriented company (e.g. bank— ideally on the markets side, asset manager, hedge fund, proprietary trading firm, or fintech).
Exposure to Risk, Front Office, Quant Research, or Methodology roles is highly valued.
Solid understanding of at least one asset class, or broad familiarity across multiple instruments.
Comfortable working with statistics, time series, and basic financial mathematics.
Technical Skills:
Python background, especially with pandas and data processing.
Experience writing production-level code, or a strong understanding of clean, pythonic design principles and the motivation to adhere to best practices.
Working knowledge of SQL, APIs, and testing frameworks like Pytest.
Experience with Linux, and familiarity with multithreading / multiprocessing is a plus.
Understanding of object-oriented or functional programming, or willingness to adapt to a new paradigm.
Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with direct stakeholder interaction and quick delivery cycles.
Availability:
Availability until 7 PM (Poland time) at least 3 days a week for crossover with client located in NY.
Responsibilities
You will:
Review and validate outputs from financial processes, offering first-level insights and identifying drivers behind the results.
Highlight areas needing further validation or with interesting implications, and perform ad hoc analyses to deepen understanding.
Work with quant analysts to design and implement business logic, bridging the gap between technical development and domain expertise.
Solve business problems after liaising directly with shareholders and implement resulting engineering solutions
Take full ownership of the end-to-end delivery process, from idea to stable production deployment.
Present your work during demos, clearly explaining the business value delivered.
We offer:
Direct influence on the product. Your ideas and contributions shape the roadmap and outcomes.
Collaboration with experienced Wall Street professionals. Gain insights and grow alongside domain experts.
Lean processes, minimal overhead. Focus on delivering value, not navigating bureaucracy.
Small, agile teams. Work closely with talented peers in a high-impact environment.
B2B employment model with:
20 paid workdays off per year
3 paid sick days
Ongoing education through Syberry Academy. Develop your skills with company-supported learning opportunities.
