At the moment, we’re looking for a Data Engineering Manager who will help us on our mission of becoming the best software development company in the world. You will be responsible for supporting us in winning great projects, leading our tech teams, supervising projects, continuously improving processes and raising quality standards. Drive, passion and great communication will be key in this demanding but extremely rewarding role.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivery
- Starting and managing new projects as a main Data Engineer on our side, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Translating business needs into technical requirements
- Sharing technical expertise with the client and other team members
- Supervising project delivery and developing best engineering practices
- Tackling most challenging technical problems and finding solutions
- Team management
- Growing tech teams and individuals by providing support, advice and mentorship
- Taking care of the team's good performance, morale and development
- Sales
- Taking part in initial calls with clients/prospects and helping our sales team in finalizing the deals
- Analyzing customer needs based on information and documentation from the sales department
- Preparing proposals in accordance with the client's requirements and expectations

- Defining and specifying personal needs in the project
- Taking part in the technical verification of candidates
Requirements
What's important for us?
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a software developer,
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Good expertise in relational databases, especially PostgreSQL
- Expertise in data warehouses, especially Snowflake
- Proficiency in AWS cloud, especially Lambda, SQS, DynamoDB, S3, RDS
- Passion about good engineering practices and ability to inspire the team
- Expertise in one of the data pipelines orchestration solutions like Airflow, Prefect or Dagster
- Experience in data architecture and modeling
- Ability to design, implement and monitor data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes
- Experience with infrastructure and deployment automation with Terraform
- Experience with Git version control systems
- Excellent communication skills
- Passion, self-reliance and ‘get things done’ approach
- Positive attitude to work (and life:))
- Fluent English (C1)
You will score extra points for:
- Experience in DBT, or equivalent solution
- Knowledge of Redis, Memcached, Elasticsearch
- Expertise in Redshift, BigQuery or Databricks
- Good knowledge of Django or other Python web frameworks
- Experience in helping companies with growing technical teams and winning new projects
- Contributions to open source software projects
- Active participation in the community
