As a Data Engineer, you’ll work closely with international clients, providing both consultancy and technical architecture to shape reliable, high-performance data solutions. You’ll handle everything from large data sets to distributed systems, setting a high bar for data quality. Responsibilities

1. Develop innovative solutions for complex data challenges, using creativity and technology.
2. Design and build data systems that fulfill client requirements and optimize user experience.
3. Collaborate across teams to integrate unique approaches and out-of-the-box thinking into problem-solving.
4. Serve as a trusted consultant and architect for customized data solutions for global clients.
5. Handle large-scale data processing and manage distributed systems to ensure reliability and performance.
6. Uphold high standards of data quality and refine approaches to align with best practices.
7. Foster a culture of collaboration, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Technical expertise

1. Proficiency in Apache Spark for distributed data processing and optimization of big data workloads.
2. Hands-on experience with AWS Glue for ETL processes and data catalog management.
3. Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka for building and managing real-time data streaming pipelines.
4. Experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, including provisioning and managing AWS resources.
5. Familiarity with Debezium for real-time data integration and change data capture from databases.
6. Working knowledge of Amazon EKS for deploying and managing containerized applications in a Kubernetes environment.
7. Solid understanding of cloud architecture, data modeling, and data warehousing concepts.
8. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, or Redshift).

Software development practices

1. Proficiency in Python 3.x or Scala, with knowledge of advanced Python constructs (e.g., lambda functions, generators, list comprehensions).
2. Core understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
3. Experience with threading and multi-process computation.
4. Familiarity with Git for version control and Docker for containerization.

Soft skills

1. Good communication skills in English (minimum B2).
2. A passion for continuous learning and embracing new technologies.
3. Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking.
