Windows & Kubernetes Consultant
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Windows & Kubernetes Consultant to support the design, implementation and optimisation of modern cloud-based infrastructure. This role is ideal for a technically strong professional with deep expertise in Windows systems and container orchestration, particularly within Kubernetes environments.
You will work closely with engineering and platform teams to troubleshoot complex issues, enhance system performance, and contribute to the ongoing development of scalable, reliable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Provide expert-level support for Windows-based workloads running in Kubernetes environments.
Design, implement and maintain Kubernetes clusters with a focus on Windows node integration.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex system, networking and container-related issues.
Perform root cause analysis for incidents and implement robust, long-term fixes.
Contribute to the development and improvement of CI/CD pipelines for containerised applications.
Support and optimise build, deployment and testing processes.
Conduct advanced Windows system and kernel-level debugging, including crash dump analysis where required.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver new features and platform enhancements.
Ensure best practices are followed for security, scalability and performance.
Produce clear technical documentation and knowledge sharing materials.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of experience working with Windows Server environments.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, including managing production clusters.
Experience running Windows containers in Kubernetes environments.
Solid understanding of networking concepts (DNS, load balancing, firewalls, etc.).
Experience with CI/CD tools and automation frameworks.
Proficiency in scripting (e.g. PowerShell, Bash).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, Azure or AWS.
Familiarity with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) or similar managed Kubernetes services.
Knowledge of infrastructure as code tools (e.g. Terraform).
Experience supporting enterprise-scale or highly available systems.
