Automation and Scripting Engineer

Strategic Staffing Solutions International client is a leading global financial services firm providing investment banking, Global Market, and investment management services to a substantial and diversified client base that includes corporations, financial institutions, governments, and high-net-worth individuals. The firm is headquartered in New York and maintains offices in Poland, London, Frankfurt, Tokyo, Bengaluru, Hong Kong, and other major financial centers around the world.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, maintain, and optimize scripts using Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript to automate various system and application processes.
• Develop scripts to connect and interact with distributed storage systems like DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
• Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the deployment process.
• Write and optimize queries to interact with DB2, Sybase, and MongoDB databases.
• Manage and configure Unix/Linux systems to support backend processes and applications.
• Develop and maintain shell scripts for system administration tasks.
• Work closely with DevOps, infrastructure, and application development teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment.

WE EXPECT FROM YOU:

• Strong programming skills in Perl, Shell/Korn Shell, and JavaScript.
• Experience with writing and testing code, and debugging for various projects.
• Familiarity with distributed storage systems like DB2, Sybase/Sybase IQ, and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines especially using Git.
• Working knowledge of Unix/Linux experience.
