Our Data & Ai team is looking for an experienced Product Owner with a strong technical background to improve our recommendation technologies in the recruitment domain.
With over 300,000 jobs online and 25 million visits per month, the data is big and our products make impact at scale. We need an experienced and creative professional to own the development of advanced technical solutions for our recommender products. Job recommendations are one of the main sources allowing talent to find new job opportunities and are a core ingredient of our autonomous matching vision to connect talent and employers.
Our Data & AI team is split across offices in Brussels, Berlin, Düsseldorf, Munich, and London, so you will work in an international environment with a team of experienced and like-minded colleagues.
As a Product Owner, you will:
- Be responsible for scoping & driving the development of advanced recommendation technologies from their ideation to running them at scale
- Develop your team’s roadmap to maximally contribute on the teams OKRs
- Be responsible for the team’s product backlog, refining it, and making sure it is healthy and consistent
- Lead the sprint ceremonies with your team
- Work closely with the development team and business stakeholders on specification and design of new features
- Closely align with other product owners in the Data & AI team.
- Manage the (offline and online A/B-) testing and quality monitoring for ongoing projects and advancing the approach to test recommendation engines
- Keep an eye on the performance of your products, proactively spot issues and take the necessary actions
- Stay up to date with trends in your field.
Your profile:
- You have a university degree in a relevant area plus at least 3-5 years professional or high-level academic experience in a field with a strong emphasis on computer science, natural language processing (NLP), data science, or similar
- You have previous experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in an agile software development environment (ideally in Scrum)
- You know how to use common analytics tools (e.g. Adobe Analytics)
- Professional experience in software development or data science/ML will be a plus
- You take responsibility for the success of your projects and initiatives
- You have a pragmatic, goal-driven mindset
- Fluent English speaker (the working language is English)
- Knowledge of German, French or Dutch is a plus
- You are willing and able to travel regularly within Europe (10-15%)
