Senior APEX Developer + Database & ETL

Join the Computational Sciences Center, where scientists and IT professionals work together to bridge science and technology. Our Oracle Apex DevOps team supports Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development initiatives, delivering innovative solutions in a regulated, global environment.

As a Senior APEX Developer, you will be part of a team of 6 senior developers, supporting and maintaining applications, implementing new features, managing environments and optimizing architecture and processes.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain applications on Oracle APEX

• Implement business logic using PL/SQL and SQL within Oracle Database

• Optimize ETL processes and database queries for performance and scalability

• Administer and configure APEX/Oracle/Middleware environments (Tomcat, ORDS)

• Lead architecture optimization initiatives and introduce new solutions

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, act as Problem Coordinator or Major Incident Manager when needed

• Work in Agile/Scrum and ITIL-aligned processes, creating high-quality documentation

Requirements:

• 6+ years of APEX applications development experience

• Expert in Oracle APEX, PL/SQL, SQL

• Strong Oracle Database knowledge and ETL optimization skills

• Experience with UNIX basics and middleware administration/configuration

• Familiarity with DevOps, Agile, ITIL standards

• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and lead requirements/design sessions

• Proficient English communication skills (C1 level)

• Strong problem-solving orientation and proactive approach

• Experience in regulated domains (pharma, banking, automotive) is an asset
