Job Summary
The Account Business Partner is the key strategic partner for client accounts, responsible for the commercial and administrative ownership of the portfolio. Your mission is to transform standard service delivery into a deeply integrated partnership by acting as the client’s trusted advisor and using your technical expertise to support pre-sales activities, identify upsell opportunities, and drive account growth.
You own relationship health, ensure end-to-end value delivery, and serve as a protective shield for technical teams. Success in this role is defined by strong client retention, seamless operations, and the natural expansion of our footprint within each account.
Responsibilities and Duties
Manage 2–3 key accounts, ensuring a deep understanding of each client’s business goals and pain points
Lead drafting of Statements of Work (SOW), contract negotiations, and financial forecasting/billing oversight
Serve as the first point of contact for high-level issues, mobilizing internal resources to provide rapid solutions
Identify opportunities to add value to the client’s business and facilitate the expansion of service offerings
Coordinate closely with Delivery Directors and PMs to align business commitments with technical execution
Own the pre-sales process to support upsell activities with new business units
Qualifications and Skills
5+ years of experience in project management, account management, or client-facing roles within IT or the tech sector
Solid foundational knowledge of IT products, services, and software development lifecycles
Ability to translate complex technical solutions into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders
Deep understanding of market trends, competitive landscapes, and evolving client needs within the tech sector
Experience with project management and documentation ecosystems, specifically Jira and Confluence
Ability to analyze and interpret account data to drive strategic decision-making
Familiarity with IT contract terms, legal frameworks, and various pricing models
Fluent English with the ability to lead high-stakes negotiations and present to C-level stakeholders
Proactive problem-solving mindset, anticipating issues and resolving them before they escalate
Strategic empathy, balancing client business pressures with engineering team constraints
Resilience under pressure, staying effective during high-stakes negotiations or complex challenges
