2nd Line Support Specialist with German
Project Description
We are looking for a 2nd Line Support Specialist to support an ERP purchasing software system that covers the full process chain - from customer inquiries and materials management through procurement and production to outgoing invoicing. You will play a key role in ensuring system stability, resolving incidents, and supporting business users in a production-critical environment.
System support hours are 08:00 a.m. – 04:00 p.m.
Technical Environment
Rich Client Application Server (V9, Windows)
Oracle Database
Java / Groovy
Key Responsibilities
Provide 2nd line support for the ERP purchasing system across all related business processes
Handle and resolve incidents in a timely and efficient manner
Resolve service requests and user queries
Ensure incidents are resolved as quickly as possible in line with service expectations
Provide operational support during system releases
Prepare and document change requests
Escalate development-related tickets to developers when required
Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure system reliability and performance
Requirements
Fluent German (spoken and written)
Advanced English skills
Strong customer and service orientation
Excellent problem-solving mindset
Reliable, honest, and team-oriented working style
Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
Basic knowledge of Java
Desirable Experience & Certifications
Experience with ERP applications
Experience with Oracle databases
ITIL certification is an advantage
