QA Engineer

Job Description:

Sport1 is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Engineer to join our technical team. In this role, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our web, mobile, and backend API solutions through rigorous manual testing. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to identify issues, validate features, and guarantee seamless user experiences across platforms. Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure functionality, usability, and performance.

• Test backend APIs using Postman and validate data integrity and response accuracy.

• Create, execute, and maintain detailed test cases and test plans.

• Perform daily feature tests as part of Agile Development cycle and regression/release testing.

• Identify, document, and track bugs using issue tracking tools (e.g., Jira).

• Validate integrations of VoDs, Livestreams, Sports Data, and Ad formats.

• Collaborate with developers, UI/UX designers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.

• Participate in regression, smoke, and exploratory testing.

• Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.

• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and workflows.

Required Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in manual testing for web and mobile applications.

• Hands-on experience testing APIs using Postman or similar tools.

• Understanding of HTTP, RESTful APIs, and JSON.

• Familiarity with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail).

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD environments and version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Language Skills: English required; German proficiency is a plus.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with video streaming platforms and ad integrations (e.g., VAST).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Basic knowledge of SQL for database validation.

• Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Cypress, Playwright) for future growth.

• Industry Experience: Previous experience in sports, media, or entertainment industries is a plus.
