Senior PHP developer

You will join the Application Squad to develop Sotrender, helping over 2,000 marketers make sense of 700TB of social data, which grows by 50GB daily.

We are a remote-first company with a team based in Warsaw and other cities across Poland. From time to time, we meet at our office.

We are looking for an experienced PHP developer that will help us develop and maintain PHP components of Sotrender and is eager to learn Python to gradually port existing PHP codebase to Python.

What will you do:

You will develop and expand Sotrender, our main product. This includes:

• Optimizing current Sotrender features
• Creating new solutions
• Implementing new backend technologies in microservices using Python 
• Maintenance and bug solving
• Writing unit, functional and integration tests
• Optimising performance - both in terms of speed and code quality

What do we require from you:

• Willingness to learn Python (to port existing PHP solutions to Python)
• Excellent knowledge of PHP7 or 8
• Experience in the Symfony 3 / Symfony 4 framework or similar
• Experience with of relational databases, e.g. MySQL
• Being a team player focused on getting things done
• Understanding internal and external clients' needs
• Ability to work effectively in a team.

You will get additional points for:

• Experience with Python
• Experience with NoSQL solutions, such as HBase, MongoDB, and Redis
• Hands-on experience with Linux environment
• Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Experience with Docker containers and/or Kubernetes
