Senior Data Engineer (Snowflake)

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data models and transformation pipelines using DBT on Snowflake.

• Develop efficient, maintainable PL/SQL code for complex data processing and transformation logic.

• Collaborate closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver high-quality data solutions.

• Optimize Snowflake performance through query tuning, clustering strategies, and effective warehouse/resource management.

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance by implementing testing, documentation, and monitoring best practices.

• Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines supporting DBT projects and Snowflake deployments.

Skills:

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related role.

• Strong hands-on experience with DBT (modular SQL development, testing, documentation).

• Proven expertise in Snowflake, including data warehousing concepts, performance tuning, and security features.

• Advanced knowledge of PL/SQL, with experience in stored procedures, functions, and packages.

• Solid understanding of data modeling principles (star and snowflake schemas, normalization).

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and CI/CD practices.

• Familiarity with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt Cloud, or Prefect is a plus.
