Head of Delivery

As a Head of Delivery, you will lead other team leads while also heading one of our cross-platform development teams. Our teams are cross-functional: every team has Mobile (Android, iOS: Kotlin and Swift) and Backend Engineers (Python).

You will be on the lookout for synergy in a streamlined approach between teams. Furthermore, you will be responsible for the smooth delivery of the product roadmap, ensuring the software engineering efficiency and the quality of output across all teams and platforms. Your commitment and guidance will play a crucial role in the continued success and growth of our platform.

Contract type: B2B

Offered remuneration: 1400 - 1650 PLN daily

Working model: Hybrid (at least twice per month in the office)

Your Responsibilities:

Leadership and People Management

• Ensure collaboration of Development Team Leads and maintain processes that support people-focused projects, such as growth paths, career models, onboarding, talent selection, feedback/assessment criteria, etc.
• Ensure well-informed Development Team Leads by facilitating information flow between them and the company.
• Provide coaching and mentoring for Development Team Leads.
• Ensure high employee satisfaction through regular feedback and addressing/solving individual problems.
• Ensure the best team members through talent selection and accompanying personal growth in line with a transparent career path.
• Assure smooth delivery of the product roadmap by talents and skillset selection, and allocation to teams.

Technical and Delivery Management

• Ensure efficient and performing teams through an objective set of KPIs and guidance for Development Team Leads.
• Support execution of short-term technical plans by ensuring that Development Teams stick to the plan.
• Provide input on technical obstacles that slow Development Teams down.
• Keep product roadmap execution and its investment appetite in sync.
• Foster the agile mindset of continuously delivering value to MyTherapy users.

Must-haves:

• At least 2+ years of experience as a second-level manager in a Scrum or Agile environment.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to guide, and develop leaders.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve company-level issues effectively.
• Skilled in facilitating constructive feedback and one-on-one discussions to foster individual growth.
• A commitment to promoting a positive, inclusive, and collaborative team culture.
• Software engineering background or direct experience as a software engineer.
• A passion for coding, viewing it as a tool to drive problem-solving and innovation. 
• Fluency in English and Polish, with the ability to communicate clearly across diverse teams.
• Willingness to meet in our Warsaw office at least twice a month, with flexibility for more frequent in-person meetings if needed. 

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with developing mobile apps or consuming data from mobile apps.
• Experience with developing digital health applications (MedTech).
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) setup with Docker and MySQL. 
• Proficiency in modern app architectures.
• Experience with security in mobile applications (ex. OWASP Mobile Top 10).
