We are looking for an experienced C++ engineer to join the open-source BugSnag SDK team: developing and maintaining libraries across over 50 different platforms.

BugSnag is the trusted software stability "command center" for over 5,000 engineering teams worldwide, including Airbnb, Slack, Pinterest, Docker, Lyft and Square. We process over 1 billion crash reports daily from 85,000 applications, and empower our customers to make data-driven decisions on when to focus on building new features, or when to fix bugs or tackle performance bottlenecks.

About the role:

We are looking for a highly adaptable engineer with a strong C++ background to join a team of specialists who work across all our supported platforms on mobile devices, web browsers, server-side and games consoles. This includes many cross-platform frameworks such as React Native, Unity and Unreal Engine.

You will contribute to our open source repositories, actively developing new features and exploring new platforms, as well as maintaining our existing codebase in these fast-moving ecosystems.

You will be mainly focussed on platforms with C or C++ based components, however in this dynamic team flexibility is key. We’re looking for an engineer who loves exploring new technology and is willing to jump into the unknown.

We are looking for you if you have:

• 5 years of commercial development experience, with significant skills in C++
• A flexible and pragmatic mindset with an eagerness to work with different technologies
• A strong and systematic approach to problem-solving
• Proficiency when reading, writing and speaking English

Bonus points for:

• History of open-source development
• Past roles/projects writing SDKs
• Development experience in Unreal Engine or targeting Windows or Linux
