Slickshift enables trucking and logistics companies to save money by catching mistakes and eliminating unnecessary expenses in transport execution.
We do it by providing real-time visibility: actual transport order execution vs. plan, instant alerts to office + driver the moment anything goes wrong. Those early warnings make it possible to stop unnecessary costs.
Dispatchers build efficient transport plans inside Slick and send them straight to drivers. All communications happen in Slick. Everyone knows how the fleet is performing 24/7.
We're an 8-person team founded by ex-Base CRM co-founders and Zendesk alumni.
Why join us
Ship fast, see impact immediately. We push to production constantly, and our users are actively engaged—logistics companies either rely on our platform or they don't. There's no "light usage." When it clicks, engagement is phenomenal.
AI is central to what we build. We're looking for engineers who want to push boundaries and create intelligent, high-impact features.
The opportunity is massive. Logistics is a huge industry with aging software. There's enormous room to build something transformative.
Ownership matters. Equity is a meaningful part of your compensation—we want you invested in what we're building together.
Remote-first. We meet in person occasionally, but day-to-day work is remote.
What you will do
Own your projects fully: how they work, how they behave once real people are using them
Work alongside designers and other developers to get things done right
Explore and build AI-powered features that help speditors work faster and make fewer mistakes
Make your own calls on technical decisions — we trust you to know what's best
Work on real-time, event-driven systems
Talk to actual users to figure out what they need and whether what you built actually helps
Keep an eye on how your features are performing and whether people are actually using them

You’re fluent in Python
You’re comfortable with SQL
You can take full ownership of the solutions you build
You are focused on delivering the right solution for the customer
