Senior Lead DevOps Engineer

We are currently seeking a Senior Lead DevOps Engineer to manage and advance our DevOps practices. This role focuses on implementing best practices, cloud-based solutions, infrastructure automation, and robust, scalable automation solutions. It requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to drive strategic initiatives across teams.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Lead major DevOps projects: Oversee planning, execution, and delivery while managing project timelines, resources, and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide technical leadership: Develop infrastructure strategies and DevOps practices while offering guidance and support to teams and stakeholders.
• Mentor team members: Provide support and mentorship within the team.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines: Create and manage pipelines on GitLab, architecting and enhancing them to ensure efficient and reliable build, test, and deployment processes.
• Drive process improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline and automate DevOps workflows.
• Design and maintain infrastructure: Implement and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and automation.
• Implement security controls: Ensure data and application protection through robust security practices.
• Maintain environments: Oversee existing developer and client environments.
• Diagnose and resolve issues: Troubleshoot issues related to application performance and environments, utilizing technologies such as GCP, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, and NVIDIA GPUs.
• Enhance developer experience: Create solutions that improve the overall developer experience.
• Collaborate across disciplines: Work closely with Developers, Administrators, and Product Owners, as well as experts in CGI, Data Science, AI, and Computer Vision.
• Document processes: Create and maintain comprehensive software documentation.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Experience: 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Technical Proficiency: Proven expertise with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps release management.
• Technologies: Hands-on experience with Docker, Git, GitLab, and at least one major cloud platform (AWS or GCP).
• Experience in Mature Environments: Prior experience in a similar role at a well-established organization.
• Linux and Scripting: Strong Linux skills and scripting capabilities (Bash or Python).
• Motivation: A strong sense of ownership and a drive to achieve results.
• Communication: Ability to read and write documentation in English (B2/C1 level).
