    Job description

    Skippet exists to democratize software development by enabling anyone to create applications using everyday language. We believe that Artificial Intelligence can transform how people interact with computers. 

    We are looking for a passionate Junior Software Developer to join our growing software development team. At Skippet you would be working at the forefront of Natural Language Processing and changing how humans make use of software. Since we are a small team, from day one you would have significant responsibility and be empowered to learn.

    Your responsibilities will be divided into 3 categories:

    Software Testing

    • Conducting QA prior to the product’s release and following new feature releases
    • This includes testing different use cases of our product as if you were the customer and doing your best to break it
    • Identifying areas of improvement in the product beyond bugs that can improve the user experience and value proposition
    • Coordinating the resolution of bugs with the senior dev team
    • Being the liaison between the developers and customer support in the resolution of bugs identified by customers

    No-Code/Low-Code Marketing Website & Ops Development

    • Developing and maintaining the company’s marketing website in a no-code tool (Webflow) including design and UX
    • Being the go-to technical person for anything data/API related in the company including tracking KPIs, CRMs etc. to make our company run better

    Front-End Software Development 

    • Coding front-end features of Skippet’s no-code NLP platform

    What skills do we need?

    • Degree in computer science or a technical subject; alternatively, completion of intensive coding bootcamps or more extensive personal project portfolio
    • A portfolio of personal projects on github ideally in web software development (doesn’t have to be in production)
    • Proficiency in Typescript
    • Javascript, React, MongoDB & PostgreSQL 
    • A knack for front-end design and willingness to learn no-code web development tools (e.g. Webflow)
    • Personal qualities that will help you succeed: methodical, organized, creative, learns fast and independently, team-player, clear & precise communicator
