Senior Data Platform Engineer

We’re looking for an experienced data professional to take ownership of our Azure-based data platforms, including Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory. In this role, you’ll play a key part in designing, automating, and optimizing cloud data infrastructure that supports global analytics and data science initiatives.

Your tasks

• Administer and optimize Azure Databricks and Snowflake platforms, ensuring scalability, reliability, and governance

• Design and manage Azure Data Factory pipelines for batch and streaming workloads

• Implement and maintain RBAC, access controls, and data governance standards

• Automate workflows and platform operations using Python, PySpark, SQL, and PowerShell

• Monitor platform health, performance, and costs; apply FinOps principles for optimization

• Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues, maintaining documentation and runbooks

• Collaborate with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to enhance platform efficiency

• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and governance best practices across global environments

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data platform engineering or administration

• Strong hands-on expertise with Azure Databricks, Snowflake, and ADF

• Proficiency in Python, PySpark, SQL, and scripting (PowerShell/Bash)

• Solid understanding of Azure services (ADLS, Function Apps, Key Vault, Networking)

• Experience with data orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow) and automation

• Familiarity with CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/ARM)

• Strong grounding in data governance, security, and cost management

• Exposure to incident management tools and Agile delivery environments

• Very good communication skills in both English and Polish

• Residing in Poland required

Nice-to-have requirements

• Experience with FinOps, audit/compliance frameworks, and regulated environments

• Knowledge of DevOps practices for data engineering

• Familiarity with Agile tools (JIRA, Confluence)

• Microsoft Azure certifications (DP-203, AZ-204, AZ-104, AZ-305)
