Databricks Engineer

About the project

We are looking for a Senior Databricks Engineer to build and optimize modern, scalable data pipelines using the Databricks platform. The focus is on real-time and batch processing with Delta Live Tables, performance tuning, and advanced data modelling.

Your responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining robust data pipelines on Databricks, including real-time (streaming) and batch workflows

• Optimizing data processes for performance, reliability, and cost-efficiency

• Building advanced data models (dimensional, data lakehouse) to support analytics and reporting

• Collaborating with analysts and data scientists to align data structures with business needs

Our requirements

• Min. 5 years in data engineering, with at least 3 years on the Databricks platform

• Deep expertise in Delta Live Tables, Apache Spark (especially PySpark), and SQL

• Strong background in data modelling and cloud-based data services (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

• Understanding of data governance, orchestration, and workflow automation

• Residing in Poland required

Optional

• Databricks certifications (Associate or Professional)

• Understanding of ML workflows, MLOps, and infrastructure as code (Terraform)

• Familiarity with BI tools and data visualization platforms

• Experience in banking or finance
