We seek an experienced Network Architect with a deep understanding of Software-Defined Access (SDA) technology to join our Siemens Healthineers IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing, implementing, and optimizing complex enterprise network architectures focusing on modern SDN technologies.
Your tasks and responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure network infrastructures utilizing Cisco SDA and other SDN-based solutions.
- Collaborate with internal teams to implement policy-based automation and segmentation across the network.
- Provide strategic guidance on network transformation projects, including adoption of SDA, automation, and security architectures.
- Analyze network traffic and performance metrics and make proactive adjustments to improve system stability and reliability.
- Ensure network designs and configurations comply with industry best practices, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide regular status reports, project updates, and network health reports to senior management.
- Mentor and develop junior network engineers and administrators.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking trends and technologies, particularly those around SD-WAN, SDA, SDN, and automation.
- Minimum of 5+ years in network architecture and design, focusing on enterprise-level networking solutions.
- Strong hands-on experience with Cisco SDA technology, including Cisco DNA Center, Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE), Cisco Catalyst switches, and Cisco Wireless LAN controllers.
- Deep knowledge of Software-Defined Networking (SDN), network automation, and network security.
- Proficient in network protocols, including BGP, OSPF, LISP, MPLS, VXLAN, and EVPN.
- Experience with network segmentation, micro-segmentation, and policy-driven networks.
- Experience with Cisco SDA, Cisco Meraki, VMware NSX, or other SD-WAN and SDN technologies.
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) with a focus on enterprise networks or network design (preferably with a focus on SDA).
- Cisco DNA Center, SD-WAN, or SD-Access certification is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud-based networking (e.g., AWS, Azure), hybrid networking solutions, and automation tools like Ansible, Python, or SaltStack for network management and orchestration.
- Knowledge of cloud-native networking and integration with hybrid cloud environments.
- Your ability to lead discussions on relevant business topics in English is the basis for efficient and eye-level communication with colleagues and partners worldwide. The German language is an asset.
- You have excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
- You have strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders on the management level.
- Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- You can identify risks, document them, and communicate along developed mitigation measures.
