Job Summary:

Your expertise will support our mission to deliver sustainable, ad-funded journalism while supporting a multi-region, multi-account cloud infrastructure. 🌟 Key Responsibilities:

• Design, build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure with a strong focus on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and Kubernetes across multiple regions and projects.

• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ensuring well-documented and reliable deployments.

• Develop and support CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated workflows.

• Improve system visibility by implementing robust monitoring, logging and alerting solutions using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana and Elastic Stack.

• Collaborate across teams to propose, document and refine solutions prior to implementation.

• Incorporate security considerations into system design and proactively manage incidents in cloud environments.

• Communicate effectively in English with the wider team, ensuring clarity and collaboration in a multilingual environment.

🔎 Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and architecture across multi-region, multi-project organizations.

• Experience in building and managing GKE (Google Kubernetes Engine) clusters and orchestrating containerized environments.

• Strong understanding of Terraform and experience in automating infrastructure deployments.

• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD or similar.

• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Bash for automation.

• Experience with security best practices and implementing secure cloud solutions.

• Experience implementing and supporting monitoring, logging and alerting systems.

• Bonus:

• Experience with Elastic Stack configurations.

• Advanced Python scripting.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a proactive and collaborative mindset.
