Technical Engineering Lead (Java)

We are looking for Technical Engineering Lead (Services & Connectivity) to join our client's team located in Cracow.

Job Description:

You will play a key role in architecting solutions that not only enhance operational efficiency but also contribute to safer, more fuel-efficient aircraft. Your work will directly affect the future of aviation by collaborating in a growing Agile team, working side by side with professionals from various sectors.

Your role will involve migrating, developing, and enhancing scalable microservices-oriented applications that drive best-in-class services, including the Performance and Maintenance Recommendations, Operational Planning Services, Asset Tracking Solutions, Advanced Network Controls, etc.

Client's Aerospace products and services are used on virtually every commercial, defense, and space aircraft. They build aircraft engines, cockpit and cabin electronics, wireless connectivity systems, and mechanical components. Our hardware and software solutions help create more fuel-efficient aircraft, more direct and on-time flights , and safer skies.

Key responsibilities:

• Legacy Application Migration: Re-architect and transform monolithic applications into scalable microservices, ensuring seamless transitions.

• Cloud-Native Development: Design and build scalable systems utilizing microservices architecture. Deploy applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes. Develop APIs to facilitate secure and efficient data exchanges.

• Data Management: Architect secure data management solutions with an emphasis on compliance and data security standards within a zero-trust framework using PostgreSQL and SQL Server as well as NoSQL databases.

• Automation: Develop CI/CD pipelines to assure high availability and rapid deployment of features.

• Collaboration: Work closely with systems engineers, data scientists, and cloud architects to align on project objectives, facilitating a collaborative work environment.

Key skills and qualifications:

• University education majoring in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related fields.

• Fluent in English.

• Proficient in at least one of the following technologies: Java, Spring Boot, NextJS, ReactJS, TypeScript.

• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with database management systems and data platforms such as Kafka, Teradata, Hadoop, or similar.

• A strong collaborative approach, with a proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions.

Offer:

• Location: Hybrid (3 days at office Cracow/2 days remote)

• Annual salary (range): PLN 375,000 – 452,000

• Form of employment: Employment contract - UoP, 3-month trial period contract, followed by a fixed-term or indefinite contract depending on the outcome of the trial period
