Solution Architect
For one of our Partners, supporting a project for an EU Organisation in Warsaw, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect for long-term cooperation.
The Solution Architect will be responsible for defining, designing, and maintaining the architecture of large enterprise-class systems. The role includes translating business and technical requirements into comprehensive architectural solutions, ensuring system interoperability, and establishing standards for design, development, quality, and security. The architect will analyse existing systems, identify optimal technological options, lead architectural decision-making, support development teams, and oversee the entire system lifecycle. They will also prepare documentation, present architectural concepts to stakeholders, and optimise systems in terms of performance, security, and quality.
Typical tasks and responsibilities:
Setting standards in the areas of design, development, quality, and testing
Designing and communicating system architecture
Designing interoperability and interfaces with other systems
Gathering needs and analysing requirements
Translating business, user, and technical needs into architectural solutions
Mapping business goals, project benefits, priorities, components, and system features
Analysing existing systems
Identifying options for potential solutions
Maintaining and monitoring architecture throughout the system lifecycle
Estimating and sizing development work
Supporting system design, testing, QA, and change management
Preparing system documentation and delivering presentations
Leading development teams and development processes
Selecting and evaluating technologies
Collecting and interpreting system metrics
Optimising systems in terms of performance, security, and quality
Knowledge and skills:
Experience as a key architect in at least 2 system development projects (1 for the basic profile)
Expertise in system architecture within the relevant domain
Expertise in designing enterprise-level systems
Expertise in capacity planning and system security
Excellent technical knowledge of: databases, application servers, communication middleware, web servers, GIS services, directory services, system security on Microsoft platforms, BI concepts, system integration, and IDEs
Expertise in UML design
Expertise in software development methodologies (RUP, ISO12207, Agile)
Proficiency in system modelling tools (e.g., Sparx Enterprise Architect, Aris Architect)
Languages: English min B2+
Excellent communication skills
Ability to prepare documentation
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Leadership skills
Specific requirements:
Practical experience in designing and developing large-scale systems in a microservices architecture
Practical experience in designing and developing large knowledge systems
Practical experience in developing custom .NET-based solutions
Practical experience with technologies such as Kafka, SQL Server, Redis, OpenShift/Kubernetes, Microsoft Azure DevOps
Practical experience with Microsoft Azure technologies and solutions
Additional requirements:
EU citizenship (mandatory)
Education: Master’s degree in ICT or equivalent
Minimum 8 years of IT professional experience
Minimum 5 years of relevant project experience in a similar role
Personal Security Clearance “CONFIDENTIEL UE” (procedure must be initiated within the first 45 days of the assignment)
Required certificates:
Candidates must hold at least two of the following:
Master-level certificate in a relevant technology or architecture domain (e.g., TOGAF Certified)
Certified UML Professional (foundation level)
An equivalent internationally recognised certificate (subject to acceptance by the Contracting Authority)
Offer:
Long-term B2B contract with Shimi (approx. 4 years, with the possibility of extension)
Rate: 480–500 EUR/MD net
