Release and Deployment Manager (m/f/n)

We are looking for a Release and Deployment Manager (m/f/n) to join an international military-political organization.

The candidate is required to possess a valid NATO SECRET security clearance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Emerging technology monitoring

• Supports monitoring of the external environment and assessment of emerging technologies.

• Contributes to the creation of reports, technology roadmapping and the sharing of knowledge and insights.

Methods and tools

• Provides support on the use of existing methods and tools.

• Configures methods and tools within a known context.

• Creates and updates the documentation of methods and tools.

Portfolio, programme and project support

• Provides administrative services to project boards, project assurance teams and quality review meetings.

• Uses recommended portfolio, programme and project control solutions for planning, scheduling and tracking.

• Sets up project files, compiles and distributes reports.

• Provides guidance on project management software, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.

Configuration management

• Applies tools, techniques and processes to administer, track, log, report on and correct configuration items, components and changes.

• Assists with audits to check the accuracy of the information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction.

Release and deployment

• Assesses and analyses release components for input to release scheduling.

• Maintains and administers tools and methods for software delivery, deployment and configuration.

• Maintains release processes and procedures.

Change control

• Assesses, analyses, develops, documents and implements changes based on requests for change.

• Ensures that operational processes are in place for effective change control.

• Develops, configures and maintains tools to manage and report on the lifecycle of change requests.

• Identifies problems and issues and recommend corrective actions

Requirements:

Education

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 2 years post-related experience.

• Exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post.

Experience

• At least two years practical experience performing release and deployment function in large IT environment/organization. 

• Working in collaboration with Change Management, Configuration Management, Verification and Validation Teams.

Training/Certifications:

• ITIL (v3/4) Foundation Certificate.

Offer:

• Type of work: on-site position in Mons, BE - relocation is required. 

• Type of contract: B2B with Shimi.

• Rate: 70 - 75 EUR/h netto. 

• Project duration: until the end of 2026 (it may be possible to extend).

• Start date: ASAP (notice period up to two-three weeks).
