Cloud/DevOps Mid-level Engineer (m/f)

Project Description:

For an EU organization based in Luxembourg, we are looking for a Cloud/DevOps Engineer to join a long-term international project. The role supports a major digital transformation initiative, with a strong focus on cloud platforms, automation, and standardized DevOps practices across the organization.

IMPORTANT: Please note that this job would require you to initiate the process of getting a Security Clearance certificate. We will be happy to give you more details during the interview.

About the Project:

The project focuses on building, operating, and evolving an API and automation platform within a hybrid environment (AWS and on-premise infrastructure). Its goal is to provide secure, scalable, and reliable API exposure, workflow orchestration, and platform services for multiple product teams.

The environment is based on Kubernetes (EKS, OpenShift), enterprise API Gateway solutions, and modern DevOps and GitOps practices, supporting a platform engineering approach and reusable building blocks.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and operate cloud solutions in line with reference architectures

• Build and maintain enterprise API Gateway platforms and security policies

• Integrate APIs with workflow orchestration platforms (e.g. n8n)

• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)

• Ensure system reliability, security, and observability

• Collaborate with development, security, and architecture teams

• Perform troubleshooting and operational support across cloud and on-premise environments

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Cloud/DevOps Engineer

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field

• Professional certifications in cloud platforms and cloud-native technologies are highly desirable

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Cloud/DevOps Mid-level with a proven track record of implementing an adopting DevOps lifecycle.

• Strong portfolio of successful cloud projects and innovations.

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and containerization (Docker); EKS and/or OpenShift is a strong plus

• Hands-on experience with API Gateway platforms (Kong, Gravitee, or Tyk)

• Knowledge of API security mechanisms: OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, OIDC/SAML

• Practical experience with AWS and hybrid (on-premise) environments

• Experience with Terraform and Ansible

• Solid knowledge of CI/CD (GitLab CI, Argo Workflows) and GitOps principles (ArgoCD is a plus)

• Experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack

• Ability to work in highly secure, regulated environments

• A security clearance is required (classification to be defined). The clearance process can be initiated after the start of the assignment.

• EU citizenship.

• Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required; proficiency in any other European language is a plus.

• DevOps role could require work in shifts (7 AM – 20 PM)

o Early: 07:00 – 16:00.

o Late: 11:00 – 20:00.

• On-call: mandatory rotation covering 7 consecutive days including weekends.
