Mobile Telecommunication Engineer

About the Team

Our Team focus on software quality and the development process of Samsung mobile chipset. We keep up-to-date with all projects in our research hub. Using the most modern solutions, we handle their specification, the verification of software quality and conduct rigorous testing in many places all over the world.

Role and Responsibilities

• Responsible for 5G NR/LTE/UMTS/GSM protocol stack analysis (from L1 to NAS) 
• Conduct tests and analysis of communication protocol during IOT/IODT sessions with other big tech companies
• Creating detailed reports from conducted tests and analysis
• Implementing LTE/5G features in RRC/PDCP/RLC/MAC layers based on 3GPP, ETSI 
• Source code improvements implementation

Skills and Qualifications

• Graduate of telecommunications, teleinformatics, radio electronics, or similar studies (students of last year are also welcome)
• Good knowledge of GSM/UMTS/LTE/5G
• Knowledge about protocol layers (RRC/PDCP/RLC/MAC/PHY)
• Ability of reading technical specifications (3GPP)
• Very good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Good English skills
• Willingness to travel for business trips
• Driving license cat B
• Open-minded and ‘outside the box’ thinking

Nice to have 

• Java, C/C++ programming experience
• Experience in software testing
• Knowledge of JIRA environment
• Knowledge of Wireshark or similar
