Senior/ Data Engineer

What tasks are waiting for you?

Data infrastructure and integration:

• Building and maintaining data warehouse and data lake architectures
• Implementing streaming and batch data processing solutions
• Developing automated data processing solutions in Python
• Creating and optimizing SQL queries for complex data transformations
• Implementing data quality monitoring and validation mechanisms
• Developing audit trail and access control solutions
• Optimizing existing ETL processes for performance and cost efficiency
• Ensuring high availability and scalability 

Business collaboration:

• Supporting analysts and business teams with data access requirements
• Providing technical guidance on capabilities and best practices
• Creating technical and business documentation
• Participating in data architecture planning

What do we expect?

Technical requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of commercial experience with Google Cloud Platform
• Advanced Python skills proven through data engineering projects (pandas, numpy, FastAPI)
• Advanced SQL skills including complex query optimization, window functions, and performance tuning
• Practical experience with ETL services in GCP environment (BigQuery, Dataflow, Composer)
• Knowledge of distributed systems and stream processing
• Basic understanding of big data technologies (Spark, Flink, Kafka)
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Ansible)
• English language proficiency at minimum B2 level

• Effective communication skills with business and technical teams
• Proactive approach to process optimization and automation
• Ability to independently solve complex technical problems
• Strong priority management skills and experience in Agile environments
• Commitment to continuous learning and technology exploration

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Experience with ML/AI technologies in data pipeline context (PyTorch, scikit-learn, Great Expectations)
• Experience in creating dashboards in Looker Studio
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methods and implementation in Python
• Familiarity with Google Marketing Platform components
