The mission of your role

Safello is on a journey to transform the financial infrastructure for good. In an ambitious pursuit like this, we need ambitious talent to help us get there. As Java Developer at Safello you will be a key player in our development team working on our mobile app and from time to time the web app too. With an innovative and self-starter approach you will write code, tests and monitor the performance on the application for desktops and phones.

You will report to the CTO and be based remotely, our office is located in Stockholm where you are most welcome! 

 About you

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

• Have 5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer
• Be skilled in Backend Development, including Java Spring Boot, SQL, and cloud infrastructure
• Possess a keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology
• Be comfortable working with high-availability, high-transaction systems
• Have experience with CI/CD processes in software development
• Be adept at developing APIs for both mobile and web apps
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Be confident in writing new services from scratch and improving existing ones, as well as participating in code reviews
• Have a team-first mindset, caring about your colleagues and end-users

• Previous experience or knowledge of DevOps is a plus
• Degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematic is a plus
• Any experience or interest in blockchain technology and cryptocurrency infrastructures is a plus
