CARFAX for Police works directly with thousands of police agencies across the United States and Canada. We’re committed to supporting and enhancing our products for agencies, and during each step of the process we ensure that officers get the most out of the tools. As a development team, we are responsible of building new investigative tools, crash report collectio, analysis tools, and integrate shared services to provide new features to police force.
Responsibilities and Impact:
- Full Development Lifecycle for Webapps, Mobile apps, and APIs and Batch systems
- Development and support of applications for US and CA Police Force and Citizens
- Business adhoc requests
- Keeping the lights on
- Ongoing maintenance of products and services
- Continuous Improvement of the technical stack to keep applications fresh and ready for new development
- Team leadership
- Helping to organize work levels and flows
- Supporting management in Playbook
- partner with Product Management, Project Services and Data Center Operations to set goals and achieve them
What We’re Looking For:
Basic Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of previous Product Web Development Management experience
- 5+ years of previous experience building and maintaining JVM-based web applications
- Fluent written and spoken Communication in English with Technical and non-Technical audiences
- Leadership within a Product Development Organization using Agile Methods
- Previous technology and people related experience leading a team
Additional Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science
- AWS experience - management and development
- Experience building Single Page Applications using React
- Experience applying Agile, Lean & Xtreme Programming methods.
- Previous Involvement in Projects and Production Support
