Your future team:
This IT Operations Specialist role will be part of the Global Digital Operations (GDO) team, which provides 24/7 monitoring and management of Rockwool's global digital infrastructure. The GDO team ensures the seamless operation of network devices, servers, virtual machines, and critical IT services across all Rockwool locations. The role involves proactive monitoring, incident management, and cross-team collaboration to maintain service continuity and operational excellence.
What you will be doing:
The IT Operations Specialist will work in a 24/7 shift rotation (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) to ensure continuous coverage. The role focuses on proactive incident detection, swift resolution, and maintaining high service availability through structured monitoring and documentation practices.
The team utilizes comprehensive monitoring and infrastructure management tools, including:
Infrastructure: Avamar, Veeam, Cohesity (backup/restore), vSphere (VM management), Exchange, Teams, SCCM
Monitoring: Orion, DNAC (network), SCOM/SquaredUp (device monitoring), Dell OME (server management)
Management: Active Directory, Defender 365, SAP modules, SSL/DNS management
Key Responsibilities:
Proactive 24/7 monitoring of global digital infrastructure including response to alerts and escalations,
Incident detection, triage, and management following ITIL framework
L2 support for servers, network devices, virtual machines, and cloud services
Cisco device patching and firmware lifecycle management
VMware environment rightsizing and optimization
Documentation maintenance and knowledge base development
User access management and security incident response
What you bring:
Ability to work in 24/7 shift rotation including nights and weekends
Experience with monitoring tools (SCOM, Orion, or similar platforms)
Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of virtualization technologies
Experience with Windows Server administration
Familiarity with backup and recovery procedures
Written and spoken English proficiency
Strong documentation and communication skills
Team and quality oriented approach and problem-solving skills
Nice to have:
ITIL Foundation certification
Experience with SCCM for patch management and basic knowledge about cloud (Azure)
Security tools experience (Defender 365)
Certifications such as CCNA, VMware VCP, or Microsoft certifications
