System Architect / Technical Lead who will innovate healthcare

About the position:
- The Pharma Technical Operations (PT) business function is going through profound transformation and driving towards truly end-to-end processes and efficiency across all elements of the PT value chain. The adoption of cloud based solutions are becoming the norm. Specially in the advanced analytics field multiple initiatives have been started to advance the value we are driving out of our data assets.
- The PT Informatics organization specifically wants to strengthen its capabilities to support the digitalisation journey we jointly embarked on together with the PT organisation. Industry 4.0 and the digital transformation it brings is one of the important drivers.
- In your role as Solution Architect you will be assigned to squads within PT Informatics that focus on the implementation of cross-functional cloud based data management solutions. Your role will be to lead the design, development and implementation of these solutions by using architectural design principles in order to translate Roche’s business strategy into a fit-for-purpose solution.
- You are able to implement proof of concept solutions using agile methodologies in order to quickly demonstrate feasibility and high business value. This position provides the unique opportunity to still be able to do hands on work, but as well focusing a large part of your time on the roadmap / digitalisation journey of PT.
We need System Architect / Technical Lead who has:
- Bachelor’s or Master degree (Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Mathematical, Information Systems or other) or equivalent work experience;
- Expert knowledge regarding application development, with hands-on experience as Technical Lead / IT Architect / Technology Expert
- Experience in supporting manufacturing environments including the connection of shop floor equipment to data management platforms, You have worked in and supported the manufacturing automation domain and have process knowledge (e.g. PLC, SCADA, OPC etc)
- Knowledge of modern IT architectures patterns & software development trends - Cloud AWS/Azure, Internet of Things (Apache KAFKA / Kepware), Extended Reality (AR, VR & MR), DevOps
- Knowledge of data integration and design patterns with overall understanding of data architecture, master data management, data modelling;
- Experience in conducting business and technical assessment;
- Knowledge of standards and good practices in scope of software development, as well as experience in requirement analysis and designing architecture of enterprise solutions;
- Motivation to learn and develop new skills combined with willingness to step into the world of large scale (enterprise-class) Pharma solutions is a MUST
- Ability to effectively present information to various groups of recipients
- Advanced English verbal & written communications skills
- Experience in working with manufacturing environments including the connection of shop floor equipment to data management platforms will be considered as superb asset
As System Architect / Technical Lead you will:
- Lead and encourage the technology transformation from roadmap to realization by conducting assessments and innovation
- Providing technical input and expertise for defining the scope of proof of concept and assessment of PoC outcome.
- Work on the architectural synergy and standardization of current solutions with a target on the technical roadmap and strategy.
- Work with Product Owners, Developers and Analysts to shape architecture and functionality of the product;
- Lead a team of Developers to build the product from planning, through design and implementation, to transition to operations;
- Recommending technological solutions that fit the clients' needs, capabilities, urgency and culture, proactively identifying and creating opportunities with broad input
- Design architectures, advice on technology choices, co-author technology roadmaps;
- Work with other IT professionals at Roche to set standards and continuously improve technology stack
- Act as a mentor for team members
