Principal Data Scientist

We are looking for an experienced Senior / Principal Data Scientist to join a team developing advanced optimization solutions for a global technology leader in the aviation industry. Your work will focus on data analysis, building predictive models, and creating optimization software that will significantly shape the future of air transport.

What we offer:

💰 Rate: Up to 200 PLN net + VAT per hour on a B2B contract.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting data analysis and predictive modeling to optimize operations and forecast customer behavior.
• Developing custom data models and algorithms, as well as performing Proof of Concept.
• Optimizing large datasets using advanced statistical and Machine Learning methods.
• Collaborating with engineers on implementing and testing AI/ML model code.
• Presenting analysis results and conducting training sessions for clients on software usage and maintenance.
• Continuously improving optimization software and adapting it to clients' business needs.

Requirements:

✅ At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or in a similar role.

✅ Higher education in Statistics, Operations Research, Computer Science, Mathematics, or Machine Learning.

✅ Proven experience in data modeling, analysis, and applying analytical skills to real-world problem-solving.

✅ Advanced optimization skills using solvers like CPLEX and Gurobi for linear (LP) and integer programming (IP).

✅ Proficiency in C++ or Java, with experience in developing complex optimization algorithms.

✅ Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and at least 4 out of the following 7 technologies:

• MLOps integrated with CI/CD for Machine Learning models (min. 2 years).
• Deployment of ML APIs on GCP using Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) (min. 2 years).
• Vertex AI and BigQuery on GCP (min. 1 year).
• Terraform and containerization technologies (min. 2 years).
• Dataflow and Dataproc on GCP for data processing (min. 2 years).
• ML model monitoring and autoscaling for predictive tasks (min. 1 year).
• Feature Store, Artifacts Registry, and Analytics Hub on GCP for data and model management (min. 1 year).

✔ Experience in aviation, railway, or supply chain management.

✔ Knowledge of decision support systems and solutions for network planning, resource management, and scheduling.
