Project Overview

Join our Rite NRG team as a Java Developer and work on a long-term project for a bank.

You'll take part in transformational projects delivered within our Banking as a Service (BaaS) model.You will build and maintain high-quality backend solutions and business workflows aligned with user needs and business goals.

Our Cloud Native approach is based on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cutting-edge technologies. You’ll work closely with engineers and stakeholders, contribute to architecture discussions, and help continuously improve development standards across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using Java (Core Java).

• Implement and maintain services based on Spring / Spring Boot and Hibernate.

• Build and integrate REST APIs, Web Services, and Microservices-based solutions.

• Design and implement BPMN 2.0 workflows (Flowable / Camunda / Activiti / jBPM, any is a strong plus).

• Integrate BPM systems with internal and external applications.

• Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support best practices.

• Troubleshoot complex issues, fix bugs, and optimize application performance.

• Collaborate on architecture planning and technical decision-making.

• Mentor and support less experienced team members.

• Maintain clear technical documentation (project and code-level).

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Java development, especially Java-based web applications.

• Hands-on experience with Spring, Spring Boot, REST API, Microservices, Web Services.

• Practical knowledge of Hibernate.

• Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases.

• Experience with build tools such as Maven.

• Good knowledge of message queues/event streaming: Kafka, Pub/Sub.

• Understanding of cloud solutions (GCP preferred, Azure/AWS acceptable).

• Practical experience with Git and modern development workflows.

• Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and proactive attitude.

• Collaborative approach and willingness to learn and grow beyond your current domain.

• Fluency in Polish and an advanced level of English (B2/C1).

Nice to have:

• Experience designing workflows using BPMN 2.0 and BPM engines (Flowable / Camunda / Activiti / jBPM).

• Understanding of cloud orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Helm (we will support your learning if you don’t have hands-on experience yet).

• Experience with multithreaded programming and distributed systems.

• Knowledge of application monitoring and observability (e.g., ELK stack or similar tools).
