Location: Remote within Poland

Project: Development and maintenance of backend services and internal systems for banking products and processes for the leading Polish bank

Key Technologies

• Backend: Java (Core Java)

• Spring (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security)

• APIs: REST API design & integration

• Databases: MS SQL, Oracle

• Workflow / BPM (Nice to have): Flowable (experience is a plus, willingness to learn is enough)

• Other nice-to-have technologies: OpenAPI/Swagger, GraphQL, Hibernate, NoSQL

• Tools: Git, JUnit, Mockito

Project Overview

Join our Rite NRG team as a Java Developer and work on a long-term project for a Polish bank. You’ll help design, build, and maintain backend services and integrations supporting key banking products and internal processes. Your work will focus on reliable, secure, and scalable solutions used daily by thousands of end users and bank employees across Poland.

You will work closely with the client’s teams, participate in technical discussions, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the platform and development practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services in Java with Spring (Boot/MVC/Data/Security).

• Implement and integrate RESTful APIs with internal and external banking systems.

• Work with relational databases (MS SQL, Oracle): design schemas, write efficient queries, and analyze performance.

• Gradually get involved in building and maintaining business processes using Flowable (supported by the team; prior experience not required).

• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code; create unit/integration tests (JUnit, Mockito).

• Troubleshoot and debug production issues; participate in performance analysis and optimization.

• Collaborate with other developers, QA, architects, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and technical solutions.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Java development, especially Java-based web applications.

• Strong experience with the Spring ecosystem (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data; Spring Security is a plus).

• Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle).

• Good understanding of RESTful API design and integration patterns.

• Hands-on experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).

• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.

• Fluency in Polish and good command of English (for documentation and communication).
