Business System Analyst

Location: Remote within Poland

Project: Development and maintenance of backend services and internal systems for banking products and processes for the leading Polish bank

Project Overview

Join our Rite NRG team as a Business System Analyst, supporting a long-term initiative in the payments and cards issuing domain for a leading banking client.You will work at the crossroads of business and IT: translate business needs into system-level requirements, analyse APIs and integrations, model processes and data flows, and closely support development teams in delivering end-to-end solutions.

Responsibilities

• Gather, analyse, and clarify business and system requirements for SIBS FPS integration, co-badge card issuing, and MBWay services.

• Translate business needs into system specifications, User Stories, Use Cases, acceptance criteria, Interface contracts, data mappings, and integration scenarios.

• Document payment and card-related processes using BPMN, flowcharts, and UML diagrams.

• Analyse APIs, data structures, and system interactions between internal banking systems and the SIBS ecosystem.

• Work closely with Architects and Developers to shape the solution design and verify technical feasibility.

• Maintain and refine the product backlog, support refinements, and participate in workshops with stakeholders in Poland and Portugal.

• Support test scope definition: help define test scenarios, clarify expected behaviours, and support defect analysis from an analytical/functional perspective.

• Ensure that documentation is up to date and understandable for both business and technical audiences

Requirements

• 4+ years as a Business System Analyst in IT (banking/payments preferred).

• Understanding of payments, card issuing, and system integrations (domain experience strongly preferred).

• Knowledge of system integrations, APIs (REST, JSON/XML), and data mapping from an analytical perspective.

• Experience with User Stories, Use Cases, BPMN, and API/integration analysis.

• Ability to read and analyse API documentation and understand how backend services communicate.

• Strong analytical skills and ability to work across business and technical teams.

• Experience in Agile environments.

• Experience with SIBS, MB, MBWay - a strong plus, not mandatory.

• Fluency in Polish and an advanced level of English (B2/C1)
