If you’re a Backend Tech Lead with extensive experience in banking who loves Node.js, banking system integrations, and AI-enhanced development tools, we’d love you to join our team and guide the creation of next-generation AI-powered financial solutions.

What you’ll do as a Backend Tech Lead

• Code smarter and ship faster with Claude Code, Cursor/Windsurf, and any ingenious tools you bring to the team.

• Design and build robust banking APIs, financial microservices, and secure server architectures in Node.js.

• Develop our AI-native platform for developers, with your feedback and features feeding directly into the product roadmap.

• Collaborate remotely with frontend developers, designers, PMs, and engineers across Poland and Saudi Arabia on multiple ventures simultaneously.

• Own the backend lifecycle: architect, implement, optimize, monitor, and scale.

• Champion best practices in banking API design, financial data security, compliance, and DevOps automation.

  
  

You might be a good fit if you

• Have 10+ years of professional experience building production Node.js applications, including banking system integrations, payment processing, or financial APIs.

• Are fluent with banking protocols (ISO 20022, SWIFT, Open Banking APIs), payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal, Adyen), and financial data formats.

• Have proven experience with core banking integrations, PCI DSS compliance, financial transaction processing, and regulatory requirements (PSD2, GDPR).

• Are experienced with databases (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis), cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure), and modern backend architectures (microservices, serverless, event-driven systems).

• Understand financial system scalability and can design secure systems that handle high-volume transactions and sensitive financial data.

• Have hands-on experience with regulatory compliance in fintech environments and a strong understanding of financial industry security standards.

• Have already experimented with Claude Code or other AI pair-programming tools - and can’t imagine coding without them.

• Master modern JavaScript/TypeScript, secure coding practices, encryption, fraud detection systems, and financial data validation.

• Communicate confidently in English; Polish is a bonus, as many teammates are based in Poland.

• Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where switching contexts and wearing multiple hats is part of the fun.
