Job description
Responsibilities
- You are the technical & people lead of a team responsible for developing and maintaining a service platform for a dedicated customer in the German financial industry.
- You have the possibility to build your own team.
- You work with a technology stack:
- Frontend: Angular, ESLint, Webpack, Open ID Connect,
- Backend: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Open ID Connect, OAuth2, Camunda,
- Persistence: PostgreSQL,
- Platform: Docker, Kubernetes,
- Streaming: Kafka,
- Testing: Cucumber, JEST / Jasmine, Cypress / Protractor, NgMocks, Spectator, JUnit, Mockito, MockK, Gatling, ChaosMonkey for SpringBoot.
- You lead your team in an agile way of working and are a mentor to others on technical aspects.
- Part of your job is project staffing.
- You take ownership of problem-solving & prioritization.
- You are accountable for the delivery of quality & technical documentation.
- You lead your team in an agile way of working.
- You are a mentor to junior engineers.
- You are a contact point for the customer & project coordination.
- You have the possibility to develop yourself not only as a leader but also as a developer.
- You meet with your team in the office (Katowice) a few times a month to plan your work and discuss progress.

Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills in English, German, and Polish will be nice to have.
- We are looking forward to your successfully completed university studies in computer science or a comparable technical course of study.
- You have at least 6 years of experience working in an agile IT environment.
- You possess expertise working with the main parts of the following tech stack:
- Frontend: Angular, ESLint, Webpack, Open ID Connect,
- Backend: Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, Open ID Connect, OAuth2, Camunda,
- Persistence: PostgreSQL,
- Platform: Docker, Kubernetes,
- Streaming: Kafka,
- Testing: Cucumber, JEST / Jasmine, Cypress / Protractor, NgMocks, Spectator, JUnit, Mockito, MockK, Gatling, ChaosMonkey for SpringBoot.
- An understanding of agile methodologies.
- You have experience guiding and mentoring others.
- You are proactive, assertive, self-confident, and empathic.
- You have experience working in a self-organized team.
- You have a proven record of taking the initiative and proposing solutions.
