Responsibilities
- You are a member of a team working for a dedicated customer in the German financial or insurance industry.
- You work with the customer to analyze project requirements and define testing needs.
- Based on the agreed test automation strategy, identify the subset of test cases to be automated (including CI/CD pipeline integration, GUI/dashboards/reporting tools, TA orchestrator).
- Design & Develop test automated scripts in the chosen technology (commercial or proprietary frameworks).
- You support the maintenance of automated test scripts and test automation strategy.
- You also provide support to software development teams to close the issues found during the testing.
- You are responsible for definition, development and execution of automatized test cases as well as analyzing test results, creating defects and retesting them.
- You plan and control test activities and you are responsible for reporting.
- Together with your agile team you actively communicate in Sprint Reviews and Refinements with the customer.
- Your testing work is done within modern frameworks, tools and paradigms like J2E, Microservices, Docker, SQL, NOSQL, Kubernetes and AWS.
- With trainings, workshops and user groups, you keep your knowledge up to date.
- You meet with your team in the office in Katowice once a month to plan your work and discuss progress.

Qualifications
- Very good communication skills in English and German (min. B2 level for both).
- Successful completion of higher education as a qualified IT specialist or similar.
- You have min. 2 years of experience in automation testing.
- You have programming skills on an advanced level (preferably Java or Python) and you are experienced in working with databases.
- You were working in Scrum methodology before, ideally in SAFe framework.
- You know how to use test management tools.
- You can use the following technologies and frameworks: Gherkin/Cucumber, Selenium Webdriver, Postman, REST Assured, Jira, Xray, Jenkins and Git.
- You have an ISTQB certificate – nice to have (we can support you in receiving one).
