Senior Data / Software Engineer (Azure, Databricks)
We are looking for a Senior Data / Software Engineer to join long-term enterprise projects in the insurance and automotive sectors. You will be part of a high-impact team working on modern cloud data platforms, helping clients transform legacy SQL-based systems into scalable, cloud-native architectures on Azure.
This is not a pure analytics role — we are looking for an engineering-driven mindset, with strong focus on data processing, software quality, and platform scalability.
Responsibilities
Design and build scalable data pipelines on Azure
Migrate complex SQL-based logic into modern Data Lake architectures
Refactor and optimize data processing workflows (ETL/ELT)
Translate legacy business logic (stored procedures) into Python / PySpark
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments
Contribute to data platform architecture and engineering standards

Qualifications
University degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or similar field
Strong Python & SQL expertise (MS SQL) – ability to understand and refactor complex stored procedures and business logic
Hands-on experience with modern data platforms – Databricks, Delta Lake, PySpark, Azure Data stack
Proven track record in data migration – transforming legacy SQL-based systems into scalable Data Lake architectures
Solid data modelling skills – designing and evolving schemas for both transactional and analytical systems
Engineering mindset – clean code, DevOps practices, and experience working in Agile environments
Fluent English and Polish language skills
Availability to work hybrid or remotely with at least one office visit per quarter
